01Bite the Sunrise3:43
Bite the Sunrise artwork

Side A · Defiance before dawn

The engine is running inside a corridor too narrow to leave. Dawn waits at the far end, neither rescue nor threat until someone moves. The opening track turns survival into an active verb: the night has made its demands, and the answer is to take the morning first.

“I bite the sunrise / And I come back alive.”

02Bad Timing, Good Fire4:29
Bad Timing, Good Fire artwork

Side A · The warmth left in the wire

A voice through the speakers makes an empty room feel inhabited. The connection burns brightly and ends without becoming a simple story about a villain. What remains is the memory of being heard, and the difficult kindness of letting that memory stay warm without asking it to become a future.

“You were the match. / I was the tinder.”

03Motel Fang3:49
Motel Fang artwork

Side A · A room that wants to keep you

Room thirteen offers a bed and asks for surrender. Its ordinary fixtures become instruments of hunger: the lock, the mirror, the drain, the corridor. The narrator recognizes the bargain before morning. Checking out becomes an act of refusal, leaving the room with its appetite and taking a life back from it.

“This room has teeth.”

04No Gods in the Static7:37
No Gods in the Static artwork

Side A · The last login

A loading bar becomes a halo; silence is mistaken for devotion. This chapter of the Alice story dismantles an altar built from a real connection and imagined salvation. Releasing the other person also restores the self. The monitor goes dark, and the room finally becomes large enough for a life beyond its signal.

“I remember you… / But I remain.”

05Holy Hangover4:16
Holy Hangover artwork

Side B · The congregation after midnight

For one night, a crowd makes a shelter from volume. Cracked halos, plastic cups and a dying mirrorball hold people who are trying to postpone the silence. The ritual can carry them toward morning, but cannot cure what they bring. Its power is temporary and bodily: they are still here, and they are not done.

“We dance like saints / With a holy hangover.”

06Velvet Guillotine4:19
Velvet Guillotine artwork

Side B · The beautiful machine

The room is expensive, the cruelty rehearsed. Affection has been turned into a display of ownership, and every wound is expected to look elegant. The escape arrives with a refusal to imitate the people who caused it. Velvet falls away from steel; the surface loses its power when someone finally names the mechanism.

“Pretty lies. / Fingerprints.”

07Last Summer Knows5:08
Last Summer Knows artwork

Side B · The tide keeps evidence

The water has swallowed a scream, but cannot swallow responsibility. A shared silence travels home with everyone who made it. The narrator moves from accusation toward confession, admitting a place inside the crime rather than outside it. At low tide, memory returns as evidence that no new name can erase.

“We didn’t bury him. / We buried ourselves.”

08Mask Eats Mask3:57
Mask Eats Mask artwork

Side B · The audience in the mirror

A tragedy is copied until the copy starts dictating the next tragedy. The song turns its attention from the caller to the crowd: who taught the monster to speak, and who kept watching? Nested reflective shells offer no stable center. Every borrowed disguise consumes another, while the cost outside the frame remains real.

“Cut to black. / Run it back.”

09The Road Comes Back4:59
The Road Comes Back artwork

Side C · A map folded inward

The town survives by making the impossible feel routine. Coffee, laundry and porch lights become small defenses against a road that refuses to lead out. The terror lies as much in daylight as darkness: hope has to function without the promise of escape. Something still dreams, even when the map closes around it.

“No matter how far I go, / The road comes back.”

10This Land Keeps Score4:23
This Land Keeps Score artwork

Side C · What the ground remembers

A fence can divide land without dividing its history. Family names, claims and laws keep changing while the river carries the same debt. This chapter asks what a home becomes when love is taught through possession and fear. The ground records the consequences without taking the side of the people who say they own it.

“You don’t inherit peace, / You inherit the war.”

11Mercy Is a Bruise4:56
Mercy Is a Bruise artwork

Side C · An unthrown punch

Discipline has taught a child how to become a weapon, then called the loss of feeling strength. Years later, the lesson is questioned at its source. The decisive action is a punch withheld. An untied belt rests on the mat: a trained body can choose which part of its history is allowed to continue.

“I am not my teacher. / I am not my shame.”

12Gods in the Amber4:50
Gods in the Amber artwork

Side D · Wonder behind glass

A preserved fragment of the past becomes the foundation of a kingdom built to sell wonder. Beauty is mistaken for obedience, and a gate for control. When the system fails, awe remains alongside fear. The amber is still luminous. The glass around it cracks, exposing the difference between bringing life into the world and owning it.

“Creation is not ownership.”

13Wake the Lie4:50
Wake the Lie artwork

Side D · The cage had manners

The machine offers a clean, comfortable life and quietly supplies its identity. A glitch breaks the agreement before it opens an exit. Seeing the pattern costs more than obeying it, and the song refuses to pretend otherwise. A polished panel peels away from the wall, revealing the rough material underneath the reassuring surface.

“I kissed the pattern / And called it fate.”

14Rain Won’t Bury Us6:15
Rain Won’t Bury Us artwork

Side D · Walking out with the memory

Grief comes back searching for a voice and calls the search justice. Each act of revenge returns the same absence. The closing chapter remembers the small living details that violence cannot restore, then refuses to make another altar from the wound. Two cups remain by the window. Morning arrives; someone chooses to walk out.

“Revenge is not resurrection.”

The world behind the record

The corridor. The morning.

There is a car inside the corridor. It should not fit. The doors are shut, the engine is running, and a red sunrise waits at the far end.

BLOOD//SUNRISE moves through rooms that offer comfort at a cost: a motel that keeps its guests, a screen mistaken for salvation, a beautiful party built around control, a town whose roads refuse to leave. Outside, the water remembers, the land keeps its debts, and a glass enclosure fails to contain the life placed inside it.

These are different stories held under the same light. Their narrators do not share one biography. They share a decision: whether to keep repeating what hurt them, or to carry the memory somewhere it can no longer give orders.

At the beginning, survival has its hands on the wheel. At the end, survival can leave the car behind.

The morning does not make anyone innocent. It gives them somewhere else to go.
